It is our custom for friends, family and associates to offer gifts of all kinds to the person celebrating a major life milestone such as I am celebrating this year. I want to assure you all that I deeply appreciate the love, kindness and generosity you have shown me not just now but over the years. Your presence here in Rio de Janeiro to honor me and celebrate with my family is the best gift you can ever offer me. I am immensely grateful.

Should you want to still offer me a gift I would humbly request that you kindly make a contribution that will enable us complete a project we embarked on three years ago to provide a decent school environment for hundreds of children that we encountered in Chiponde, Malawi trying to learn sitting on dirt floor underneath a rickety thatched structure.

We were in Malawi as part of the missions outreach team of the African Christian Fellowship USA. The school project, which is about 60% completed is a partnership with Calvary Ministries (CAPRO) Malawi.

We kicked off 2023 with some excellent news from the mission field in Malawi as we received beautiful pictures and a heart-lifting video documenting the completion of the second block of classrooms at the ACFUSA-CAPRO Elementary School in Chiponde, Malawi.

From that rickety thatched structure, we are literally seeing a school campus emerge in the highlands of southern Malawi to God’s glory. The campus now includes two blocks of classrooms; a borehole and water harvesting system; and a block of separate toilets for teachers, male and female students. The second phase of the project, which we will shortly flag-off, will include additional classroom blocks and construction of staff housing for the missionaries serving as volunteer teachers at the school.

We have come this far only because several of you responded to our call to invest in the transformation of the lives of the children of Chiponde. Thank you for your previous generous and sacrificial giving.

I come again, with cap in hand, asking all my friends to chip in something, big or small, to help us raise the $100,000 we still need to complete this school building project by our target date of December 2024.

Tax deductible donations can be made on the ACFUSA Midwest website: https://www.acfmidwest.org/nonsectarian-christian-community-donations

Checks can also be made out to ACF Midwest Region and mailed to Treasurer ACFUSA Midwest, 1004 SW 13th Terrace, Lee’s Summit MO 64081. United States of America.

In both cases, please indicate your donation is for Malawi school project.

This is the doing of the Lord and it is marvelous in our sight.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
